Terms and Conditions

All sales made by E. Russum & Sons Ltd. are made on these Terms and Conditions of sale. No variation on them, or any terms with an order form or other documentation supplied, will be binding unless confirmed in writing by a Director of E. Russum & Sons Ltd.

All goods and carriage are subject to VAT except books which are zero rated. Prices are correct at the time of going to print (1/2008) and may be subject to change during the year. All goods are subject to availability and the design or specification may vary from that shown. Please note that you are responsible for deciding on the suitability of goods offered for any particular purpose and for the consequences arising from any work we undertake on goods at your request.

There is no minimum order value.

For very small/lightweight orders, please contact us for advice on carriage charges.

For orders to be delivered outside the UK mainland, and for bulky or heavy deliveries, there may be an additional delivery charge which can be confirmed at the time of order.

To use our 'next day service' orders should be paid for by credit/debit card and placed by 3pm, Monday to Friday. Goods dispatched on a Friday will be delivered on Monday (excepting Bank Holidays).

Every effort is made to ensure that goods are delivered on time, although delivery times are given without obligation or guarantee due to the reliance on a third party carrier.

Details of any shortages or damage to deliveries must be noted at the time of delivery and we must be advised in writing within three days. Any claims for non-delivery of items must be confirmed to us in writing within one week of the invoice date.

All goods are made to a high quality specification. If you are not satisfied with the goods received we offer a money back guarantee when goods are returned to us unused, in perfect condition and in their original packaging, within 28 days of delivery. Please note that items which have been embroidered, altered to a customer specification or ordered specially cannot be returned unless faulty.

Any goods returned which are not in the condition set out above will be rejected and returned to you at your cost. Please note we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee for goods returned.

Goods supplied are guaranteed in accordance with the terms of the manufacturer's warranty provided with the goods or one year if not stated with the goods. The warranty applies to UK mainland only, and does not apply to wear and tear, or if a product has been damaged or misused. Machines returned for repair in warranty where it is found the machine has been abused or has not been used as the machine was designed for will be subject to a charge for repair and carriage. Machines which have not been maintained properly may also be subject to a charge for repair and carriage. Machines are returned for repair at the owner's risk and must be packaged securely. Machines returned for repair are not reassembled if on quotation you do not require the machine repaired. Loan and hire machines are not available.

Retention of Title - Please note that the title of goods will not pass to the purchaser until the goods are paid for in full.

Samples ' Any goods required for samples will be despatched and charged accordingly. Sample goods not required must be returned within 28 days from receipt and all carriage and packing costs must be borne by the Customer.

All weights, measurements and specifications quoted are nominal and subject to manufacturing tolerances. Exact conformity to submitted samples cannot be guaranteed.

Please note that it is an offence to sell knives to anyone under 18 and you may be asked to confirm your age or for identification.

E. Russum & Sons Ltd. accepts no liability of whatever nature arising as a result of any representations, breach of contract, late delivery of product, negligence or otherwise including but not limited to any liability for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill except for liability for death or personal injury caused by E. Russum & Sons Ltd. negligence. All conditions, warranties, guarantees and representations, express or implied, by statute, common law or otherwise in relation to the goods (other than any liability which E. Russum & Sons Ltd. is not permitted by law to exclude or restrict) are hereby excluded.

E. Russum & Sons Ltd. may at its absolute discretion decline to accept orders or to offer credit terms. All errors and omissions excepted. All trademarks acknowledged.

We will hold your details on computer for the purpose of processing your order. From time to time we may send you details of Russums offers which could be of interest. Please tell us if you do not wish to receive further information.
