Russums Win the Gilbert Lefevre Cup

We’re delighted to have been awarded the Gilbert Lefèvre Cup

Here at Russums, we are celebrating after being awarded the Gilbert Lefèvre Cup at a gourmet dinner hosted by the Association Culinaire Française North West (ACF NW) recently.

Our delighted Director Sally Russum attended the six course dinner and received the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Catering Profession in recognition of the support that we have given the Association in its competition work with students.

Receiving the cup from Brian Yates, Sally said: “The Association Culinaire Française North West is an established and professional network that was founded 40 years ago and provides invaluable support to trainees and students in our industry. It has been a privilege to work with the North West branch of the Association for many years to encourage learning and skills.

We are proud and humbled to receive the award that honours Gilbert Lefèvre who was the founding President of the ACF NW and a Michelin starred chef.”

The Association Culinaire Française can trace its history back to 1845. It is run by chefs, for chefs and its aims are to maintain professional standards of cuisine and to support students. To this end, ACF NW works with leading catering colleges nationwide.

ACF NW President, Sue Kenyon said: “We are delighted to award Sally Russum the Gilbert Lefèvre Trophy to recognise the amazing support Russums have given the ACF for our North West Commis of the Year Competitions over the years.”
